Mid Edo Period, 17th-18th century
The four-plate bowl with a medial ridge is of a shape often likened to a bullet, a broad mabisashi projects horizontally at the front, the bowl showing signs of being tested in two possibly four places, an ita mono ichi manju jikoro with simple fukigaeshi. The helmet lacquered black overall with a dark blue sugake odoshi, interior of the shikoro gilded.
