A hotoke do tosei gusoku armour

Mid Edo Period, 17th-18th century
The thirty-two-plate Kaga hoshi bachi with za boshi and a Hineno jikoro of kiritsuke kozane, to the front a gilded metal moon maedate, a russet lacquered Nara menpo with hair moustache and chin tuft. The ni mai hotoke do covered with black lacquered coarse grained leather, the front with a representation of an elephant in white. Ko sode, shino gote, small kawara haidate and shino suneate, mainly lacquered black and laced in dark blue kebiki odoshi. Together with a jinbaori in rich brocade, a gold mon on the back and an armour box.
