The blade of shinogi-zukuri form, broad irregular gunome-ha of nie and nioi with some sunagashi, itame-hada, a broad to either side; the ubu-nakago with one mekugi-ana, signed Hitachi no kami Minamoto Muneshige; in shirasaya; with koshirae: the saya of red and black mottled lacquer; the iron Higo fittings all inlaid in gilt with informal kiri, unsigned. The blade 67.2cm (26½in) long. (3).
