Attributed to Goto Ichijo (1791-1876), 19th century
Comprising an iron tsuba of mokko form, engraved with rain and carved with falling cherry blossoms and petals, shakudo fuchi-gashira carved on the ishime ground with ho-o and kiri, signed Goto Hokkyo Ichijo with kao; shakudo menuki in the form of cherry blossoms and bamboo leaves; with wood tomobako bearing a hakogaki by Torigoe Kyodo attributing all to Goto Ichijo. The tsuba 7.6cm (3in). (6).
