The overhanging cornice with blind cut fretwork over tapering three-quarter and quarter metal mounted Doric columns, the trunk door of good figuring and centred by a circular brass lenticle on a crossbanded plinth and kickboard, the 11 inch square brass dial with twin cherub and crown spandrels enclosed by a line border and running foliage between the spandrels, signed on the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with cross half-quarter marks and inner quarter hour track, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and circular ring-turned date aperture and winding holes, the movement with six knopped and finned pillars, all latched to the frontplate, with anchor escapement and inside countwheel strike on a bell 214cms (7ft) high.

This movement is of particular note; the pendulum is suspended from a 'hipped' cock such as those used by Joseph Windmills and even though of only eight day duration, it has six pillars instead of five.
