A good early 18th century Provincial hook and spike single handed alarm clock

The case surmounted by a strapped bell and five finials over pierced frets on gently tapering columns terminating in turned brass feet, the five inch arched brass dial signed in a silvered boss flanked by pierced quarter frets and scroll spandrels, the Roman chapter ring with floating lozenge half hour markers and inner quarter hour track to the matted centre with Arabic alarm setting dial, the weight driven movement with short verge bob escapement resting on a knife edge and sounding the alarm via a double headed hammer above 22cms (8.75ins) high.
