the moulded cornice above spiral columns and a long trunk door with feather banding and glass lenticle, raised on a plinth base, the 11 inch square brass dial with winged cherubs head spandrels, interspersed with foliate engraving, signed low on the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with distinctive ringed half hour marks, the matted centre with foliate inlaid centre, ringed winding squares decorated date aperture and subsidiary seconds, the movement with five knopped pillars, anchor escapement striking the hours via an inside countwheel with outside detent 195cms (6ft 4in) high.
