The overhanging cornice set over three-quarter columns with giltwood capitals and bases to the front, the long arched door with simple moulded edge on a plain base, the 11 inch square brass dial with well finished pierced scroll spandrels enclosing a Roman and Arabic chapter ring and finely matted centre with chamfered date aperture, the posted movement with rectangular-section brass pillars and anchor escapement with rack strike mounted to the rear 1197cms (6ft 6ins) high.
