A mid 18th century quarter chiming chinoiserie-decorated lacquered longcase clock

The stepped caddy top with three ball and spire finials over three-quarter columns over a long trunk door decorated with figures within a built environment, the 12 inch arched brass dial with strike/silent subsidiary in the arch with addorsed dolphin side-spandrels and engraved detailing over the Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds and date aperture, the substantial movement united by six knopped pillars, with anchor escapement rack striking the hours on a single bell and chiming the quarters on a nest of eight bells and hammers 2.54m (8ft 4ins) high.
