The hood with shallow arch over moulded cornice, ripple banding over panelled sides, hinged front door with canted corners, concave throat moulding over ripple band full trunk door with moulded recessed panel on a cushion moulded base with further recessed panel on a moulded plinth and block feet, the movement bolted to a mahogany seatboard with original mahogany dust cover, the eleven inch square signed silvered dial with seconds and Roman hour subsidiaries enclosed by the outer Arabic minute chapter with light blued steel hands to the substantial movement with tall shouldered plates united by five knopped pillars and a suspension block screwed to both the front and back plates, finely crossed wheelwork with jewelled pallets to the deadbeat escapement, beat adjustment to the crutch and steel rod pendulum with mercury temperature compensation and engraved rating nut 189cm (6ft2.5in) high.
