A rare circular-section second quarter of the 19th century carved rosewood marine barometer

Signature rubbed
Surmounted by a carved reeded finial over curved glass and further carving to the spirally twisted trunk inset with a mercury thermometer with ivory scales, terminating in a carved lobed section above the turned brass cistern cover, the bone dial with 27 to 31 inch scale and rack and pinion vernier, with brass gimbal wall mount 99cms (3ft 3ins) high.
