A good late 19th century French brass grande sonnerie carriage clock in an oval case

Bearing the HM trademark
With shaped serpentine handle over a moulded cornice and base, with rectangular enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals and alarm subsidiary, the movement with silvered lever platform with engraved regulation, striking, chiming and repeating the hours and quarters on twin coiled steel gongs, with three-position selection lever in the base to facilitate full, half or no striking 19cm (7.5in) high.
