Unsigned but attributable to Smith and Sons
Realistically modelled on the midlands town cathedral, with its three tapering octagonal spires over a pierced frame, on stepped base to a carved rosewood stand with glass shade, the silvered chapter ring with outer minute band and Roman hours set on tulip-shaped cartouches, the twin chain fusee movement with deadbeat escapement striking the hours on a circular-section coiled steel gong and with passing strike on a bell every fifteen minutes The clock 36cms (14ins) high
