A good mid 18th century French ormolu cartel clock of impressive size

The case cast as a series of asymmetric foliate scrolls mounted with branches of flowers and leaves, the 8 inch signed enamel dial with black Roman and Arabic numerals and well pierced gilt hands, the twin going barrel movement with rectangular plates, now with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on a bell 80cms (2ft 7.5ins) high.
