An impressive late 19th century French bronze and marble figural mantel clock

Two cherubs with an assortment of musical instruments sit on a rustic base upon the concave reeded base with applied foliate mounts featuring a hurdy-gurdy, a mandolin and other period instruments on a further marble plinth and decorative plinth, the signed 4.5 inch Roman and Arabic dial with pierced gilt hands to the twin barrelled movement with anchor escapement and external countwheel striking on a bell 58cm (23in) high.
