A mid 19th century lacquered and silvered brass skeleton timepiece with deadbeat escapement

The substantial rafter frame united by four turned pillars of unusual profile, screwed front and back with large blued steel screws, signed on the lower arched section and mounted on silvered brass pedestals to a velvet-covered base and ebonised plinth with associated glass dome, the silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and blued steel moon hands, the chain fusee movement with wheels of five crossings terminating in a deadbeat escapement, the heavy pendulum with polished brass bob and securing nut The frame 31cms (12.25ins), total height including glass shade 39cms (15.5ins) high.
