The walnut case with shallow dome to the hood with barley twist columns, the trunk with D moulded 42 inch door on a crossbanded base with bun feet, the ten inch square brass dial signed below the silvered Roaman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur de lys half-hour markers and inner quarter track and sculpted hands to the weight-driven fully latched movement with five knopped and finned pillars, anchor escapement and pierced external countwheel with Knibb's butterfly regulation to the suspension block 198cm (6ft 6in) high.
