Early 19th century
Kakejiku, in ink and colour on silk, depicting two geisha on their way to Yoshiwara, one carrying a red shamisen box, overhanging branches of yanagi (willow) in the foreground, the full moon in the distance, with later added signature Chobunsai Eishi hitsu with seal Eishi; with double wood storage box. 86cm x 31cm (33 7/8in x 12¼in).
