A Kashan lustre pottery Bowl
Persia, 12th/ 13th Century

of conical form on a short foot, decorated in a light golden lustre with alternate bands of continuous inscriptions, continuous undulating motif and trefoil motif, the centre with a chequer board motif and A large Sultanabad pottery Bowl, Persia, 14th Century with flaring sides and 'T' shaped rim, decorated in underglaze cobalt-blue, black, turquoise and white slip with two spotted deer against dense foliage

The interior inscriptions include parts of a Persian quatrain and benedictory terms; The inscription on the outer rim reads: 'Perpetual Glory and Prosperity ....Happiness and Well-being and Endurance and Long-life to its owner and Wealth and Happiness and Well-being and...'.
