Persian manuscript on paper, incomplete, misbound, 106 leaves, 19 lines to the page written in four columns of elegant nasta'liq script in black ink, double intercolumnar rules in gold throughout, inner margins ruled in blue and gold, catchwords in wide margins, titles written in thuluth script in gold within panels decorated with intertwining floral motifs in colours and gold, one fine illuminated headpiece in colours and gold incorporating the title in thuluth script in white on gold ground, some waterstaining mostly restricted to outer margins, some smudging affecting small areas of text, later brown morocco with stamped central medallions, cornerpieces and border panels of gilt leather decorated with floral motifs, slightly faded and worn, rebacked
